DOLCE & TAMARRA
Contemporary Art Tiles by Kitsch & Huis – Limited Edition
“Tamarra” a word that, in Italian, suggests bad taste, excess, vulgarity.
But here, in the heart of Amsterdam, it becomes a symbol of aesthetic freedom, of sarcasm elevated to art, of unapologetic beauty.
Dolce & Tamarra is a limited edition of contemporary artistic tiles created by Kitsch & Huis, paying tribute to the exaggerated, the ornamental, and the deliberately over the top. Inspired by the theatricality of kitsch, by classical Roman figures, and by uninhibited pop culture, this series transforms “bad taste” into a bold statement of authenticity.
Each tile merges classical art references with digital irony: goddesses, emperors, and archetypes of power are reimagined with plumes, mazes, broken columns, and baroque frames turning every wall into a stage.
“Tamarra is not a flaw it’s an attitude.
And dolce is not always sweet sometimes it’s radical.”
This collection is made for audacious, unapologetic interiors, where art is not just decoration it speaks.
