Liquid Myth is a collaborative exhibition that explores how symbols, archetypes, and shared visual languages shape our relationship with nature, identity, and the unseen. In the context of ecological crisis and cultural disconnection, the artists turn to intuitive ways of knowing that go beyond modern systems of consumption and control.
The project emphasizes that myths are not relics of the past but living structures that continue to shape how we perceive reality. From cave paintings to traditional printmaking, visual expression has long been a way to communicate deeper, collective meanings that language alone cannot fully capture.
In contrast to today’s impersonal modes of communication, the artists seek to restore meaning through traditional media such as painting and printmaking, highlighting the physical and symbolic value of the creative process. The exhibition culminates in a collective artwork made of interconnected wooden panels.
Ultimately, Liquid Myth invites a reconnection with the hidden stories and relationships that underlie everyday life, reminding us that we are part of an interconnected and living system.
Curation
By Jason Ayala Pacheco & Jessica De Facci
Where Two Exist, Creation Finds its Balance and All Others Lose Their Weight.
Liquid Myth is the result of a curatorial approach in which freedom has been placed at the center as a creative principle.
From the perspective of artistic direction, our intention has been to create an open conceptual framework within which the duo could develop their process with autonomy, trust, and fluidity.
Our curatorial role was not to control the outcome, but to hold the space.
We consciously created the conditions for the dialogue between the works to emerge naturally, allowing their creative energy to guide the development of the project. In this sense, curation became an act of accompaniment: offering perspective, artistic direction, and commercial vision, without limiting the essence of the artistic process.
The duo responded to this freedom by working as a single entity, allowing forms, symbols, and gestures to emerge organically.
The work thus developed as a continuous flow, in which each element connects to the next.
Liquid Myth, ultimately, reflects a curatorial practice grounded in trust in the process.
A liquid myth that flows, transforms, and reminds us that everything is born from interconnection.
